The Green Hornets of Emmaus High School returned two interceptions and a blocked punt for touchdowns as they shut out the Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks 35-0 on Saturday.

The first Lehigh Valley Conference contest of the season for both teams was ended with 7:21 left in the game because of a late afternoon thunderstorm.

The game time at Bethlehem Area School District Stadium was moved from 7 p.m. to 1:30 because of the anticipated severe weather.

According to The Morning Call, the stingy Emmaus defense limited BeCaHi to 51 yards of total offense.

The Green Hornets are now 2-0 on the season, while the Golden Hawks have fallen to 0-2.
