City Woman Charged with Stabbing Boyfriend

Police: She wanted him to beat someone up; bail set at $250,000

 

A Bethlehem woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend multiple times on New Year's Day is in Northampton County Prison under $250,000 bail, city police said.

According to police, Luz Silva, 28, of 1354 Eastwood Road, wanted her boyfriend, Daniel Vega, also of Bethlehem, to beat up her best friend's boyfriend. When Vega refused, Silva took a knife and stabbed him several times, police said.

The assault took place at about 9 a.m. Saturday.

Vega, 32, of 901 Wyandotte St., had to be taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. A condition report was not immediately available.

Silva has been charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which is also a felony.
