Summary: This 27-acre park in Lehigh County features a fitness trail, playground, picnic tables and something unusual--indentations in the woods that indicate Native Americans quarried jasper from pits in this area thousands of years before European settlers arrived. Jasper is a smooth but sharp stone that can be worked into arrow heads, knives and tools. Removal of jasper from the park is illegal. A statue of Chief Lappawinze of the Leni Lenape greets visitors at the park entrance.
