A Bethlehem man was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly picked up a co-worker’s iPhone at the Sands Casino and kept it, according to court records.

Ying Hui Yang, 34, a casino dealer who lives at 1338 E. Fifth St., admitted to a casino investigator that he picked up the smart phone that had been left in a casino employee break room, according to the arrest warrant.

The phone was left behind on June 24 by Alexander Torres, a floor manager at the casino. On June 25, Torres activated the phone’s GPS tracking system, which traced the phone to Yang’s address.

The affidavit said Yang returned the telephone after he admitted he had taken it. He was arraigned today before District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro and was released on his own recognizance.
