Cartwright Gets Nod from Nurses and Hospitals
Plains, PA - Democratic Congressional candidate Matt Cartwright has been officially endorsed by both the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Hospital Association.
“Matt has consistently stood up for the little guy during his years of taking on big business,” said ANA-PAC Chair Faith Jones, MSN, RN, NEA-BC. “His passion for fixing our health care system is something that is closely shared by myself and nurses in Pennsylvania and across the country.”
ANA is the only full-service professional organization representing the interests of the nation's 3.1 million registered nurses through its constituent and state nurses associations and its organizational affiliates.
“I am honored by these endorsements. The future of our Nation’s healthcare is a priority of mine and I will continue to fight for the people of the Northeastern Pennsylvania in Congress,” said, Cartwright.
Cartwright, continued, “I have spent my professional career protecting people and small business owners from uncaring insurance companies. In Congress, among my top priorities will be protecting Medicare, Veterans Health Benefits and working to create the best healthcare system in the world.”
Matt Cartwright is a Democrat, running for Congress in the 17th Congressional District, which now includes parts of Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe and Northampton Counties, as well as all of Schuylkill County. Cartwright is running for Congress to bring jobs to Northeast Pennsylvania, and make sure that corporations and wealthy Americans pay their fair share of taxes.

This is a nursing group that supports Obamacare. It is a haven for progressives.
His opponent, Laureen Cummings, is a real nurse who deals with the true realities and effects of Obamacare in the real world on a daily basis.
Laureen Cummings is one of us, not an elitist power hungry lawyer..
