Lehigh University hosts Dr. Madeleine K. Albright. Albright was named the first female Secretary of State in 1977. She is a professor in the Practice of Diplomacy at Georgetown Univeristy School of Foreign Service. Albright was awarded the U.S. Medal of Freedom in 2012 by President Obama for her inspiration and insight into making the world a more peaceful place. She is also the author of five New York Times best-sellers, with her most recent book, Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War, telling the story of her experiences after World War II.
